Bonnie Tyler avec sa voix rauque, reconnaissable entre mille, a toujours été assimilée à Rod Stewart.

Elle a eu son timbre rauque suite à une opération aux cordes vocales et c’est grâce à cette voix modifiée qu’elle a progressé vers les premières places.

"Total Eclipse of the Heart" a été un franc succès, qui s’est ancré à la tête du Top 10 pendant plusieurs semaines

Des moments de Slow inoubliables avec ce titre très romantique et ses paroles poétiques qui ne peuvent vous laisser insensible.

Paul Young nous a fait rêver avec sa superbe voix douce. Malheureusement, Il n’a jamais su s’imposer dans les Hits parade. Je pense que la raison principale et qu’il était un chanteur interprète.

Paul Young a commencé sa carrière avec des reprises " Wherever I lay My Hat " de Marvin Gaye, a été un beau succès.
" Everytime you go away " était aussi une reprise mais elle a été aussi son titre le plus connu.

Ses meilleurs titres sont :

Je ne sais pas pour qu’elle raison, mais "Love of the common people" est une chanson qui m’a spécialement marqué.
De style plutôt pop, à l’époque elle n’a pas été produite en vidéo clip. Je fermais les yeux, je l’écoutais et je voyais toute la scène se dérouler devant moi.

L’eau qui fuyait à travers le toit, les gouttelettes d’eau qui tombaient dans un Mug de lait.
La petite fille qui pleurait …..

PRINCE : When Doves Cry

Peu d'artistes ont créé un répertoire aussi riche et varié que celui de Prince. Pendant les années 80s, il a émergé comme un des talents les plus singuliers du Rock & Roll, capable aussi bien d'éblouir en Pop, Funk et Folk.Il a enregistré de centaines de titres parmi lesquels plusieurs titres fabuleux sont passés inaperçus. Avec chaque album, il s'est affiché avec un vestimentaire stylistique remarquable.

Avec "Dirty Mind" en 1980, il a enregistré son premier chef-d’œuvre, un cocktail de Funk, de Soul et de Pop.

L'album "Purple Rain" fait de Prince une vedette incontestable (on attendait même a ce qu'il allait détrôner Michael Jackson); pendant des dizaines de semaines, il a été en tête des Hit Parade. A l'époque, en Tunisie pour les jeunes 16-20 ans, ce type de rythme mélangé nous était complètement inconnu mais la persistance de Prince sur RTCI (grâce notamment à Donia Chaouch) nous a poussé à l'adopter, plutôt à l'adorer.
Fin des années 80, c'est "Kiss" dernier succès de Prince.

IMAGINATION : Just an Illusion

Imagination groupe inconnu, s’est imposé dans les années 80 pendant presque une année, pour re-disparaitre à jamais du Hit Parade.
Il fut L'un des meilleurs groupe de soul funk des années 80's.

Après leur 1er album à succès modéré "Body talk", "Music and lights" leur second album remporte un très beau succès notamment avec leur titre "Just an illusion" atteignant la seconde place des Top 10 pendant plusieurs semaines.

Un titre à jamais gravé nos mémoires d’Ado, pas de Boum sans Imagination. En l’écoutant encore, en ce dit qu’il n’y a plus de bonne musique aujourd’hui.

"Just an illusion", "Music and lights", "Flashback" et "Body talk" sont des titres qu’on pourrait écouter pendant des heures sans se lasser.
